Every File, Understood

When a file lands in your library, Eagle studies it in the background: what’s in it, what it says and how it looks. That’s what turns a file named IMG_4821.png into something you can find.

Your way

Your Field, Your Words

A UI designer, an interior designer and a game artist look at the same image and notice different things. Tell Eagle what matters in your work, and it describes files the way you’ll look for them.

Found It? Fix It Right Here

The right reference is rarely ready to use. Remove the background, sharpen it up or erase what’s in the way, then get back to the work you found it for.

Clear About What AI Does

Before you switch it on, you should know where it runs, what it sends and what it changes. Here’s the short version.

Runs on your computer

The built-in models work offline. Your files are not uploaded to analyze them.

Cloud is your choice

Prefer a cloud model? Connect your own provider, and see which features use it.

Your edits stay yours

AI writes to its own fields. Suggested tags only apply when you accept them.

Works on your old files

Existing libraries are analyzed in the background, at your pace. To confirm

Does Eagle AI need an internet connection?

No. The built-in AI runs offline on your computer. An internet connection is only needed if you choose to connect a third-party model provider.

Does it cost extra? To confirm

The built-in AI is included with Eagle 5. If you connect a third-party provider, that provider bills you directly.

Do I need to download a model? To confirm

The model downloads once when you first turn AI on. After that, everything runs locally.

Will AI change my file names, descriptions or tags?

No. AI results are stored separately from what you wrote. Suggested names, tags and folders only take effect when you accept them.

I have tens of thousands of files. How long will it take? To confirm

Analysis runs in the background while you keep working. You can see its progress, pause it, and let new files go first.

Does it understand video too? To confirm

The first release focuses on images. Searching inside video, down to a specific shot, is on the way.

Works with agents

Your Agent Can Use It Too

Everything Eagle understands about your library is available to Claude, Codex and other agents you connect, with only the permissions you give them.
